Hello again. · 6:48am Oct 10th, 2018
Well damn, Would you look at that. It's 2018, and here I am.
Now how many of you will actually see this update I wonder? No doubt it will probably go under the radar. If, however you do see it please leave a comment.
I'd like to believe my channel isn't completely dead
But back to seriousness, I truly TRULY do miss the old days. And I know I'm only 22 years old, but when I say the old days I mean the fandom.
Man we were all so into it back then. Every blog post I made, every chapter. Comments were quick to follow. We would all meme around and talk to each other, sometimes I would spend more time replying to comments than actually writing.
I'm not sure why, but when I got a notification of a new comment. No matter WHERE I was or what I was doing, my heart soared. Not because of ego or anything, but because someone cared enough about what I made to actually take their time and send their own comment to me. It made me feel like a part of something you know?
All I'm saying is, I have so many great ideas... but its just hard to put them into writing now. People just don't seem into it anymore, and when you write and feel like no one is reading... that's hard you know?
Anyway just a little rant. I hope I still have a few dedicated followers out there. See you soon!
Well well well... Look who decided to come back and pay us common folk a visit. I suppose I should feel honoured you decided we were worth returning to?
Heheh. Seriously though, all jokes aside, good to have you back. I'll be sure to give whatever you post a read like I always have! And of course I'm looking forward to more chapters of 'A long way from home'!
I think it may be a bit of a "burnout" thing. Most shows don't usually make it to 8 seasons, and if you'd been along since the beginning things would definitely seem old hat at this point. But, on top of all that, I suspect change in your own life has an effect as well.
Most of us were still students back in the day. Mostly high school, possibly college, but I think most of the Fandom was there because they could afford to invest so much time into it. Most of us didn't really have jobs or careers, and had little responsibility.
Now, a lot of us have moved on. We've built careers, found employment, furthered education, and even started a family in some cases. We don't really have the time to watch the newest episode, log on to a forum, and chat with others about what we just watched. We have obligations and people hold us to a higher level of expectation than they used to.
It isn't so much that they hate the show now (I'd have no problems watching S1-4 even today), but rather that other more important things must come first.
As for me, I'd enjoy seeing some of the more seasoned fans like yourself stick around.

Good to be back! Life has definitely thrown me for a loop but I hope I'm here to stay!
