I have some of my stuff written, but I can't move my left hand without breaking out into a cold sweat. So it may be a bit.

Sorry to hear you had an accident. Take care of yourself. Don't want an infection to set-it. There's no hurry here for you to write, unless you're bored. Is there a speech-to-text program you could use? That would get most of the heavy typing done, reducing or eliminating the stress on your left hand. (Google Docs Voice Typing (GDVT) and Windows Speech Recognition (WSR))

Still, losing a fingertip ain't a joke. It'll throw your sense of handling stuff off, too - until you get accustomed, that is.
My hope lies in your finger not hurting once it has fully healed, nor it causing 'ghost missing limb' issues.
