Figured I'd say hello, explain how I have so much in my library already and how/why I got here so late.
To be honest I've been reading things on Fimfiction for at least 4 months now. Most notably, and repeatedly, the Quiververse by EchoWing and "Slumber of the Storm" by Deathscar. So why just now make a profile? Well I'm crap in an obsessive, it has to be perfect way. In this case my profile name. I wanted to use something other than rainsilent but I just couldn't come up with something I liked by my self set deadline of my birthday which means... Yeah.
Also I wanted an easier way to save and follow a number of stories on this site that I either want to read and/or are being worked on or have read. Reading the Quiververse is what really finally did it for me in terms of joining as it lead to the Multiverse that was the center of RQKs "Reflections" which lead to the incredible list of stories connected to that of which I want to read them all. I started with the epic that is "Fallout Equestria" by kkat. I read that in 4 days too. Ummm. Oops. Not because its bad but because its amazing with a lot of other stories inspired by it including "Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons" by Somber which is what I am currently reading rather than continuing through the list in the Appendix of Reflections. Hence the umm, oops. That doesn't even scratch the surface of what is here either.
The stories that I have read thus far have lead me to even put together the core of 2 stories. One of my own Fallout Equestria stories however I need to send a message to kkat in regards to it asking permission for use of her characters (they only come into play late in the story) as well a few questions I have in regards to FOE. The second is a somewhat original concept with the working title of "pony trapped in time." I'm having a hang up with this story though. The names and looks of the pony trapped in time and their evil nemesis in the story. Yeah my obsessive, it has to be perfect issue strikes again. It gets worse. I have a majority of a fiction based upon Zootopia written out but with a few major things missing. You guessed it. My key created characters have no name yet. Yeah. I'm crap. A third concept inspired by Knight Breeze's The Human Within trilogy of a what if of what it would be like if humans from earth ended up in Equestria is only in a very basic concept stage and doesn't involve space travel. Rather something happens with the Canterlot portal. Again the third is in a very early concept stage. I may write out the plot and a few key story elements but I want to focus on my other two stories rather than overwhelm myself.
Finally what got me here? The The TV show/movie right? Technically, and thus ultimately, yes but no. Its sort of the question of what came first; the chicken or the egg? In this instance it was Aviators. The musician. I technically discovered him over 3 years ago however I only listened to one song, liked it, went to his YT channel and saved it for future browsing through and promptly forgot about it. Fast forward to late last year and I stumbled upon that same one song (for the record the song in question is One Last Letter VIP remix) that I liked and again went to his channel and this time started just going through it and fell in love with his music. That inevitably got me curious as to the stories behind the songs. The very first song that I happened to read the story behind was Heaven Knows which was inspired by Casius' "All but Two." The combination of those two via Heaven Knows/All but Two introduced me to FiMFiction and MLP:FiM. Yeah I'm late to this entire thing but it wouldn't be right if I wasn't.
