Holy crap, I've been here for seven years. 
I didn't realize it was today until I checked, hence the blog title. In that time, I've gone from obscure niche author to one of the relatively big names in this corner of a corner of the Internet. I've been to conventions, written in collaborations, run contests, made a mildly successful AU, and created literal thousands of pony-based Magic cards. It has been a long, strange trip indeed. Thanks to everyone who's been here with me. Here's to whatever more remains. 
Guess I should do something for this... Uh, ask me stuff, maybe? I can't guarantee answers beyond "I choose not to answer that," but it seems appropriate for the day.

I keep having ideas. Strangely enough, people keep reading them.
I literally found my first Magic cards before I was ten. Looking back, it may have been message from God, or at least Richard Garfield. The game is as fun to play as it is to design for me, and the magic system and lore make for awesome fanfic fodder, much like Friendship is Magic. There's a reason I try to apply it to everything else I work with.

Potatoes are delicious in virtually any form. I'm not a fan of any form of alcohol, regardless of what it used to be. Never developed a taste for booze, and I've never seen a reason to do so.

Any answers I have to that question typically serve as inspiration for my own stuff. "Be the change you want to see in the world," that sort of thing. The Villian Exchange Program contest came about because I couldn't find a way to get the basic idea to work as I'd envisioned it, so I decided to see what other minds might do with it.

It's a simple four-step process:
Step one: Have too much free time.
Step two: Free up time you really shouldn't.
Step three: CONSUME HORSEWORDS
Step four: Repeat until all horsewords have been consumed
Step five: Crap, they keep writing more.
Step six: Oh dear, we've quite gone off the rails.
Step seven: Tread water as best you can.
But yeah, I just read. A lot. It would not be an exaggeration to say I'm on Fimfiction ten or so hours a day. For the record, I do not recommend or even condone this level of activity. I avoided playing World of Warcraft because I knew I had a cyberaddictive personality. I ended up falling down the fiction hole instead.

There are certainly some cases that would greatly benefit from revisiting them—having access to Vehicles when designing the Friendship Express or Amonkhet's mechanics when working with Anugypt, for example—but I just don't have time to go back and give the old articles a mechanical makeover. Not when there's so much territory that I haven't covered even once.

As noted previously, Fimfic takes up a lot of my potential deckbuilding time. While I have several Commander decks in progress, I haven't really finalized anything since I overhauled my Daretti, Scrap Savant deck a while back.

Hmm... Hard to say. I modified what used to be my go-to handle, "A Fan," after one person grew suspicious of the generic name and assumed I was a troll. If I couldn't pick anything along that theme, I'm really not sure what I'd pick. I know I didn't come up with the name of my unused self-insert character for months if not years after I joined the site, so "Thought Bubble" probably wouldn't be my choice. I'm honestly not sure what I'd pick.

If you mean the fandom, I have a group of IRL friends to thank for that. They've recommended a number of shows to me over the years, but nothing clicked quite like MLP.

I have some IRL friends to to thank there. They encouraged me to get into the show the summer after Season 1, back when every episode was viewable on YouTube. One even showed me an image of the 4chan thread that named Derpy Hooves, and she's been my personal best pony ever since. I couldn't explain why, but she was.

Oh hey, you joined fimfiction about a week before I became a Brony.
And about three weeks before I read my first pony-fiction.
Which was well-known author Pen Stroke's highly acclaimed masterpiece... "Better Living through Science and Ponies".
Stumbled into that one while searching for "my little pony portal" art on deviantArt, and was too bewildered by the idea someone actually wrote a crossover-story about that.
Expected something silly and dumb, turns out it was actually good (Granted, I haven't re-read it in a few years, so hmm *shrug*), and turns out the author wrote more! "Past Sins" among others. 
Then I figured "hey, wouldn't it be funny if the story about GlaDOS was read by a robot voice?" and popped the text into a text-to-speech software. Aaaaand I haven't read a single physical book since, for the past 7 years. Turns out, text-to-speech and human-narrated audiobooks are the way to go for me. Great for multitasking.
So, I can ask questions here, hmm? Alright!
1) What was the first MLP-fic you read? Or which got you interested in reading more?
2) Do you know of any other fandoms with an as well organized fanfiction scene as ours, with as many good writers? I sure don't!
3) Was there anything in an episode you thought for sure the fandom would spin into a big thing or a reoccuring headcanon, but it never happened?

1. I honestly do not remember anymore.
2. I'm certainly not aware of any other fandoms with a site this sophisticated and dedicated to them... though I am looking forward to Genfiction.
3. I don't generally speculate on fandom-wide reactions. Going by my expectations for stories, I'm pretty terrible at it.
