    It's been a very intense year for me. I've been fortunate enough to have been working this entire time and was promoted twice since March. This was the cause of the delay in this story. I've been learning what it takes to lead people at work, but also how to manage my own self care while being able to care for others.

    I have finally concluded “The Phoenix King”. It went on longer than I ever thought it would and probably didn’t need to be so long to begin with. Although, I had a great amount of fun writing every chapter of it and felt that it had literal arcs that focused on different things to keep it fresh. Or at leas to hope it did.

These last two weeks I had dedicated myself to getting this new job, revamping my resume and going to two interviews for the position. I am happy to say that they have offered it to me which means I am over the moon at the moment on the possibilities this affords me. Full time, 401k, health insurance, paid vacation, and on top of all that it is a government job. I feel very fortunate for this opportunity, but it is also a job that I've done for the last 10 years which made me very confident in the interviews that I would be the best choice for the position.

In any case, I have written the next three chapters and they are all ready to be uploaded. I will post one day by day.
