A New Day, A New World is cancelled · 11:05pm Sep 16th, 2018
To the few of you who still enjoy this, it's just as the title says.
This was probably a decision that I've had to think over for a LONG TIME NOW. The sad part is that it's not because I didn't enjoy doing it, but because it's just a bit of a jumbled mess to the point that there are so many plot threads that I need to resolve before I finish it and doing that would take me, well, about as long as it's taking me.
Now, I didn't just cancel it because I didn't want to bother—trust me when I say did want to—but I did it because it was taking so long that I was simply not having time to work on future projects. Even if I started on other projects, this story came to the back of my mind, bugging me to finish it first, to stop whatever else I'm doing and simply focusing on the old one instead.
Finally finish it.
If you've been following for a while, you probably saw how this was me already shortening the story from its original plan, which spawned spin-offs and the like, which is probably the most newbie mistake I could have committed... not that I wasn't a total newbie back then; I actually started the thing like 6 months after I started writing in general, and I did it as a sequel to boot.
As relieved as I am to finally rid myself of the weight of finishing this, it's just as bad to have the feeling of it being incomplete, specially this close to the end. Being a person who actively DESPISES how some stories aren't finished, it's something that will likely forever haunt me no matter how trivial it may seem to some of you.
I have to thank you guys for enjoying the story if you did, leaving comments or the like really helped me push through a lot of my messes. Gotta give big thanks to Super-Brony12 especially for the help pre-reading some of the chapters! He was a big help during those struggling days.
And now, I gotta end it by apologizing. I'm sorry that I couldn't finish it, especially if you were still interested. Sorry that I kept making promises I ultimately couldn't keep, and ultimately, I'm sorry for wasting your time with a story with no true end; I know how much that sucks. If there is anything that I can promise is that I will use this failure to improve on future projects.
If I can offer something to those that read it, is that I'm willing to let you know what I had planned for the following chapters until the end. It's a mess of bs in certain places, but if you want to, you can message me; I'll gladly share a summary for my poor, doomed story.
I guess that's it then. Thanks for following this story for nearly six years... or was it five? Look, the point is that I'm grateful!
In any case, until next time!
