Marwile watches SAO ii Part 7 "Lots of Comforting" · 10:01pm Sep 14th, 2018
Alright, another episode where nothing important happened. After the last blog might have gotten a bit too long (I had to analyze the light saber) I hope I can keep it shorter again.
Back in the real world, Suguha (quick reminder she has the voice of Twilight in the german dub) confronts Kirito about playing GGO. He also talks with Asuna over the phone about it. He comforts both of them by saying there's no problem. I can kinda understand Kirito's thought process about not wanting Asuna there because of the assassin, but that also means that our supposed female lead does even less during this arc than in Fairy Dance. And that means something. Why are they even concerned? It's not like he can die in a video game.
We go to Sinon and Spiegel meeting in real life (I forgot their names). She perfectly summarizes to him why everyone hates Kirito and during her rant she makes a fingergun, which he quickly notes. Seriously, how does PTSD work? Spiegel comforts her and tells Sinon what he likes about her. This would've been a nice moment if it wouldn't have been already obvious he's evil, so it's only creepy. Especially when he suddenly hugs her. But she (kinda unintentionally) friensones him.
Back to Kirito. He's sad and angry at himself for killing the assassins in SAO. He asks the nurse (who I'm sure also only wants to bang him) for advice. She comforts him and he accepts what he did and I think that was supposed to be his character development for this arc. Or something that could be mistaken for character development if you squint your eyes and jump on one leg.
Now we move to the KiriClub in ALO. Asuna is concerned about Kirito and nearly lets Klein die and then they go to watch the tournament. That was everything in this scene. At least they remembered Klein exists.
Final jump. Sinon is in GGO on her way to the BoB (Bullet of Bullets, I think I haven't mentioned the name of the tournament yet) and meets Spiegel again. He tries to comfort her again (again kinda creepy) and she (this time intentionally) friendzones him again, because she only wants to focus on the tournament. He leaves and she enters the tournament to stand dramatically face-to-face with Kirito.
That was everything...Ehhh... Bye.
