In the vein of stories that were implied by Through the Well of Pirene and yet only raise their own questions in how I present them, I offer you this:

What exactly happened to Wire after she parted from Amelia was left unsaid in the original novel. I decided against giving her a perspective, and now I have done so, as I feel she deserves.

I started writing this years ago, but it lay unfinished for a long time until I finally pushed it out in a burst of energy over the last couple days.

It's also literally told from her perspective, as a bedtime story for her own foal many years on - and the haunting challenges that followed her after all these years. Hope you enjoy!
