That's kinda-sorta my motivation of every contest, really. They act as motivators to get me writing something other than the huge stories I'm normally working on. Helps to keep the brain's juices flowing.
That said, contests are also one of the very few things I can channel my inner Rainbow Dash on. I've gotta let her out somehow, y'know?
