    Soon!

I think I've used that blog title three or four times now.

Anyway! New chapter of Spectacular Seven is almost done! I was hoping it would be done this week so I could post it on Saturday, but I need to rewrite a scene. And that's before I edit it! And before Drakey edits it! The good news is...

    Ten Years, Still Here

I think back to my nascent days here, reading stories and typing out my own, hoping for the day where I could call myself a veteran of the fandom. My stories would be remembered and I would stand alongside authors like Pen stroke and Aragon.

And I look where I am now and go, ‘well, you got one big hit. Good enough.’

    Thank You

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the GoFundMe or spread the word for it. It really means a lot. Thanks to your donations and getting a little more on my first paycheck than I thought I would, I should be able to stay afloat again.

My Turn to Ask for Help

    Hello friends.

I'm trying to raise money for me and Amber Spark after we suffered an accident with a U-Haul truck. The link to the GoFundMe page is here.

Status Report: All the Stories! · 1:25am Sep 1st, 2018

Hi guys, it's been awhile since I've had a blog that wasn't a follow-up or a print run message. August has come to an end, meaning we're moving into the final quarter of 2018, and September through December move fast. So, here's an update blog of what I'm going to try to do from now till then and into 2019.

I guess Spectacular Seven burned me out more than I thought, because, aside from that one chapter of The Maker's Reject I hadn't written anything this summer until a week ago. I'm fine! Like, mentally. Aside from some stress about moving to a new apartment, I feel fine. I just... have not been motivated to write. It's slowly getting better (for now) so maybe more chapters will start popping out.

It has dawned on me several times when I was trying to write that, I have a lot of active stories, and a few more that I keep dabbling in that aren't published yet.

Spectacular Seven

Across the Shimmering Sea

Mechanical Soul

The Maker's Reject

Class Zero

Ice Iris

Double Sun Daze

And more. Maybe the fact that I have so many stories to juggle is part of my lack of motivation? I dunno. The point is, I think I need to organize myself. I want to finish all these stories, but I think I need to go about differently.

Spectacular Seven is currently my highest priority right now. I think it's the story I want to tell the most, even with my confidence in it a little shaky. I still want to write it, and I want you guys to read it. But, while I'm not going to write out all of Volume III before releasing it like I did with Volume II, I still want to stockpile at least 3 or 4 chapters to make a buffer. I'm still kinda recovering from Volume II burnout, and with school starting next month, I can't say how long it'll take me to write those chapters, though I do have a pretty clear idea of how they're going to go, so writing them might be fast. The point is, with school, NaNoWriMo in November, and the holidays, don't expect Volume III until January.

And Kingdom Hearts 3 might delay it further. Not even joking. Dropping everything for that.

In the meantime, Across the Shimmering Sea I think will be my big project for the remainder of the year. At least, I'll try to make it that. I definitely want to crank out a few more chapters before year's end. I'm enjoying myself and we're almost halfway through the story.

The Maker's Reject has high priority because I really like that story. I don't know why, but it compels me to write.

Ice Iris should have been finished a while ago. At this rate, I'll finish it come this holiday! Hopefully! I need to finish it, because there's a story I'm writing that I've forbidden myself from posting until Ice Iris is done. I think you guys will like it.

Mechanical Soul... I promise I will get back to it eventually. But, that one might take a while If I'm being honest. That one is going on the backburner until later. I will try to put at least one chapter out this year as proof that I haven't forgotten about it.

And I haven't forgotten about Double Sun Daze. It's a simple story with short chapters, so feasibly, it should be easy to update. I'm going to try to make double chapters come out more than once a year, but it'll still be slow.

And finally, Class Zero. This one hurts me to do. I can't write Spectacular Seven and Class Zero at the same time. They're both huge projects that require a lot of time and attention. Spectacular Seven was here first, so I'll focus on it first. Class Zero also... did not launch with the attention I was hoping for. So, I honestly don't think it'll be missed. I'm going to put out one more chapter, probably in December, and then put it on hiatus until Spectacular Seven is done.

In other news, I am indeed writing a story for Oroboro's Sunset Shipping Contest, who's deadline has been extended until September 9th, meaning you should also join in. Yes, you. Get in here. Anyway, I'm working on a story and will release probably on the 9th. It's been a motivation to write again, and hopefully it'll hold until after the story is done.

I'm also trying to draw! I don't have anything to show for it right now, I'm still learning the basics like perspective and shading, but it's something I really want to do. It'll be slow going, because writing is still my priority, but I just thought I'd share.

National Novel Writing Month is slowly approaching, and like the years before, I will be taking that month off to go back and work on my original fiction. I've got three years under my belt, can I go for four?

I hope you guys are enjoying your hard copies of Long Road to Friendship. If you still need your Long Road fix, the talented VA Wubcake has begun doing a audio reading of the story! She's currently up to chapter 4, and I hope she enjoys it enough to go all the way.

I think that's everything for now. Still trying to put together a follow-up for Mirror Magic—

Procrastinator!

I'm trying! Anyway, that's where I'm at. The writing will continue. Maybe some day, I'll post art, too. In the meantime, thank you all for your support. As always, I'll be trying to put my best hoof forward and give you the best stories I can muster.

Stay awesome, everyone!

And for all you DBZA fans... it's tiiiiiime!

I can understand why you would stop for Kingdom Hearts 3, it has been so long since 2

Don't beat yourself up over low motivation. I think a lot of us are going through that right now. I'm going to have to force myself to work on writing for at least 3 hours a day in September because between Spider-Man PS4, Street Fighter V, and binge-watching One Piece, I'm not going to want to worry about writing. I've just got too much else going on I'm more interested in right now.

Class Zero also... did not launch with the attention I was hoping for. So, I honestly don't think it'll be missed.

u wot

meaning you should also join in. Yes, you. Get in here.

I feel personally attacked.

But seriously, I can't wait to read your entry!

JMP

I'll read pretty much whatever you put out. Class Zero is a really interesting story so far, so while I think it's a shame it needs to be put on hiatus, I understand why.

It's also been a solid 5 years since KH3 was even announced, and by the time KH3 comes it, it'll be almost 6 years since the last non-collection game came out.

And Kingdom Hearts 3 might delay it further. Not even joking. Dropping everything for that.

As well you should. There's not a damn person on the planet that's blame you for doing so. Pretty sure half the planet is going to be busy playing KH3 for a WHILE when it comes out,

I’m willing to wait for all of these, if it means more great content for you!

Also, Oroboros’ contest got extended? I was really tempted to write a Sunset/Silverstream fic (since a lot of people have been scraping the bottom of the ship barrel and a story about being in love with someone who’d probably be a war refugee IRL would be interesting), but couldn’t make the deadline. It’s some stiff competition, and I’ve got a lot of projects going on, but maybe I’ll write it. Or still maybe write it after the contest.

I hope everything goes well for you writing wise and school wise. And I totally understand needing to drop everything for Kingdom Hearts III, no need to defend. And I was actually really liking Class Zero and will miss it while on hiatus. Granted, given all your big projects I understand needing to put it on hiatus while you finish other things up, but know that it will be missed while it is gone.

But I really was looking forward to Class Zero :fluttercry:

Take your time! We're all really looking forward to your return, but do whatever you need to do! :pinkiehappy::heart:
