I Am (No) God... has problems · 5:43am Aug 30th, 2018
This story is probably those rare moments on this site that a story get surprisingly interesting - in terms how much attention it quickly got, the likes, and other factors - that even the writer is shocked. I'm not upset how quickly it got a good following... but with it came with some problems.
Out of all of these problems, that showed up for this story... is probably my own fault, that I rushed this story out so quickly, not putting the effort to check and double-check the first few chapters of issues... in general I should of rebuilt the story from the ground up. I could just ignore all of these problems later and rebuilt them back up for better versions, but this story has been building up for the last year that I've pre-planned dozens of chapters for this story, but the problem isn't what I have in store for the plot, but rather the beginning chapters of the story.
Just how some of you have pointed out, this feels like outright plagiarism, I mean fan-stories/fan-works have their share of plagiarism, but their fan-made things... but the firs two chapters are literal plagiarism. I think the biggest reasons why the chapters are the shred of unique, is because I've been planning it for such a long time, I've been putting my effort everywhere.
Now don't worry this isn't some "this is the end" kind of deal, but I feel that things should of started off different. I still wonder what got most of you guys so intrigued about the story, I mean I myself have been hyping to put it out for a long time... so it makes me wonder - what went so wrong?
Seeing how if I continue this any further and I'll get a mix of confused or comments about the "dullness" of the story so far, I have two options - to give an explanation; this requiring me to bring forth the origin story I was planning to save for later now so future confusion can end. Or two... I have to redo things from scratch, and remove some already planned chapters from making the story stale.
...In all honesty, when I was making this story I thought of the idea all the way from late 2016, even earlier, but around then when I began to really start on it. I may be putting to much faith on this story, but I also feel if things don't go right it might crush what self-esteem I got left.
If I had to describe the purpose why the beginning chapters look and will seem like a copy of Season 1, is because at the time most of creativity was going to Knight of the Void, and other stories; back then, IANG was just in the idea and plot stage so there was no literal chapters yet, while most of my writing went to KotV and other stories at the time. Once I did put focus onto IANG, it went to the origin story first, but by the time I was writing the actual story of IANG, most of that creativity got drained and I mean in a semi-writer's block.
With this said, I'm going to rewrite the first few chapters of IANG with something else... an actual, real opening to a story. I won't shut down the story, and I'll bring out the origin story on a later date, but for now I'm going to be busy thinking of a better beginning of chapters for IANG.
Comment how you feel about all of this, it'll help to know how all of you want things to go.
If you, as the author, believe that you could/should have done better at the beginning, and that you can/wanna do so now... I would say, in principle, go for it. Especially if the tale is not original enough to suit you.
If, on the other hand, you’re just worried about it “not being good enough,” then you may be sweating needlessly.
That being said, IMNG is on my reading list but I haven’t started yet, so please let me emphasize that my thoughts are in principle, not in regard to the story’s specific merits. I am certain others who have read the work in question will happily chime in as well.

Thanks, I really want to keep this story on-going as if I had to choose a few specific stories to work on still, this would be the few of that list
