And its quickly spiraling into a full campaign setting. I can't stop adding to it. x.x
I've written a short history for a large fortified mining town called Volheim, and I've created three factions vying for control of it that the PCs can ally with or fight against (knowing my murder hobo players they'd try to kill all of them and bleed the city dry of money before running away).
We have an intelligent magic warhammer that's dominated the Lord Mayor which is trying to remake this town into a beacon of efficiency and order, and has employed Hell Knights to judge dredd this town into line.
Against the mayor are two seemingly unrelated factions. The Mocking Moths thieves guild who still manage to make the hell knights look like flat footed town guards and emboldening other thieves in town to go against them. The other are a masked cult called the Moonlighters who've taken over the long abandoned temple to Night Mare who offer to heal the sick and collect alms for the poor. The cultists don't allow anyone outside their circle into the temple, and people sometimes thinks they can hear explosions going on beneath the temple.
I've got most of the fluff written, that was the fun part but making the enemies and maps is where I'm weak as a GM. I'd normally just BS things and use NPCs and maps from some adventure book.
