Your Occasional "What Chris Is Writing" Update · 1:16am Aug 14th, 2018
First, the "Chris you can read right now" news: today, I posted a 3500 word essay comparing a battle that never actually happened in A Song of Ice and Fire to the Battle of Bannockburn. This was definitely the best use of my time. If you're interested in light military analysis, though, you can check it out here!
In "Chris you can read someday soon" news, a few weeks ago I entered a writeoff.me minific contest. And I won! Woo-hoo! I haven't published it to my minific collection, because I'm considering a substantial rewrite which will expand it to full-story length. I haven't actually done any of that yet, because I was on vacation for the last two weeks, but now that I'm home I'll probably get started on that. If it goes well, look for a new story from me in the next few weeks; if it goes poorly, look for me to give up and just post the minific version to that collection at some point. Anticipation~
And finally, in "Chris you can read probably never" news, I keep trying to write a Starlight thing for CiG and GaPJaxie's thing, but everything that I write is angry and butt. I guess I still haven't accepted her into my heart. Truth be told, I'm still less than halfway there on Twilicorn, so maybe being not-grumpy about her existence is a bridge I'll never make it across :( But hey, I'm trying!
Chris persists! :D Yay!
You should write a Starlight thing for Shakespearicles's thing. :V If you can't do that other one, of course.
A very interesting analysis of a battle that never happened. Thanks for sharing it.
That was a cool analysis! I'd be happy seeing more if you ever write any.
You should absolutely join Jaxie and I in evangelizing for our new pony sorceress overlord.
I knew I liked you for a reason!
That's because she's a bad character.
I'm kidding.
Mostly.
Yay!
Seconding PP's suggestion, as it fits relatively well with not really having accepted Starlight--the more so if you actually play with the non-restrictions.
