Update on Patreon situation/what you need to do if your payment was declined · 4:45pm Aug 2nd, 2018
How to tell your payment was declined:
- You never received the "Your Patreon receipt is here!" e-mail.
- You received a fraud report from your credit card issuing bank.
- Your credit card statement shows a declined payment.
What to do if your payment was declined:
- Call your credit card's customer help line.
- Clear up the false positive that led to the fraud alert on your card; tell them that the Patreon service changed to processing payments through a UK-based bank and that the charge is valid.
- Log onto Patreon and update your payment method.
- There should be a "rebill" or "reauthorize" option somewhere in the Patreon panel; use that.
- Also (or if the above is not applicable), contact Patreon support to finalize the issue and get your payments processed.
Thanks bro! I might become a Patreon patron of some people someday, maybe including you; so this is good to know. :)

Well, this is more of an emergency situational thing, hopefully this specific situation is never going to happen again. >.>;;
I informed my bank that the payment was legitimate (the one good thing I can say about this wretched bank is that the email they sent made this easy) and retried my card. I got my receipt, so I hope/assume that's settled (for now).

Yeah, you must've taken care of yours before I even caught on to this mess. I PMed all affected patrons directly on Patreon when I first learned about this.
FWIW, I got my Payment Received! email yesterday afternoon, without any CC fraud checks from the carrier, so I never even knew there was a problem until I read your tweets this morning.
Which makes me speculate about Patreon's payment processors more than anything.

I have my theories about why you didn't get flagged.
They're positive, I just don't want to air them in public. :)
Well I'm kinda glad it wasn't just me. Was afraid my account was locked. Then I had to update my Paypal to my current address.

OK, and hopefully!
