So Sunset has faced the sirens (RR).
She's faced a plant-related antagonist that caused her friends to forget the most important things (MLtbF).
She's faced a witch/Druid (LoE).
She's faced a cyclops (one-eyed monster/lens) that she had to blind and trick to sneak her and her friends away from (RCoF).
She fled from a goddess offering her immortality/princess-ness (Pre-EG/EG).
And then was trapped in a strange world for 30 moons, for which she kinda blamed Celestia.
The SDCC Clip shows a storm caused by magic while they are on a boat.
She's even got a girlfriend back home who has to fend off a hoard suitors (Princess Twilight not succumbing to the wiles of Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy, Tempest, Trixie, Glimmer, Luna, Celestia, Zecora, etc etc etc).
Sunset Shimmer is basically Odysseus

Huh. This is an interesting observation.
She did kind of spite the gods with her hubris at the start of it. I would argue she's made herself a new Ithaca, though that's because I relentlessly ship Sciset.
More to the point, when does she get to come back and smooch Twi?
