TheIdiot Regarding: (mainly) The Jed R Cut · 7:55am Jul 26th, 2018
Hello, all! TheIdiot here once again to provide you, the readers and watchers, an update on what's going on. In this case, I bring with me a small statement in regards to Jed R's recent work but also to say that Chapter 8 is still ongoing but has been difficult due to many factors. I am very greatful that you have been patient with us, all that we ask is that you continue to be patient as we sort out our difficulties.
A small discussion was held in regards to Jed doing his own cut of SPECTRUM and, on account of his past contributions and experiences across both incarnations, it was agreed upon as a fair motion. What you see on Jed's profile is his vision of SPECTRUM in its entirety and while there may be similarities between Jed's cut and the main story proper, I'm sure his will diverge into its own entity as we chug along in our direction.
To use an example, consider the relationship between the 1980s Tim Burton Batman and the Christopher Nolan Batman from the 2000s. While both are about Batman and dark in their own right, they have different takeaways and experiences. Neither's invalid, but both provide their own points.
But, to be clear, SPECTRUM is the main story and Jed R's Cut is his version exclusive to its own continuity which may have similar events in between their canon (like his incredibly recent side story, Map of the Problematique). I, and the rest of the team/crew, wish Jed R the best of luck with work and hope him the best.
Until Chapter 8, or next time,
Sincerely,
TheIdiot
Cheers, mate 🙂
4907851 You are welcome.
On chapter eight: Good to know it's not dead in the water, I've been looking forward to it quite a lot.
On Jed's cut: Might give it a look, and it's good to know there's no malice between you.
PS: Sorry for the slow response, I passed over this update when it came out in my feed. Probably shouldn't read through my feed at 2AM anymore.
4910640 Well, I can assume a fair number of people have been waiting for it. We're hard at work typing away at it while juggling other priorities.
As for Jed's Cut, I suggest you do.
