FA and the future of this account

So it's likely going to be a while before I work on a pony story again. I have ideas for several fics I'd like to make at some point in the future, but for now my scope has transitioned to general furry content. I've already posted my fimfiction stories on it, and am currently in the middle of making my first erotic furry thing. There's... actually a lot of firsts in it for me: growth and transformations and whatnot.

Regardless, feel free to search it and see if you like how I'm handling the Alchemess series. It was a request from a close friend of mine, that turned into a semi-commission. Most of the idea was his though I helped refine it and am so far pleased with the two parts I have up.

There's something else though, which is important if you only care about my mlp stuff. I... don't think I'll continue writing once I finish part three of Alchemess. Not to say I'll 'never' take it up again, but I wanted to actually try my hand at drawing. Call it petty, but I feel like I won't get much recognition on furaffinity by just posting stories. I really take for granted how amazing FimFiction's set up for stories is whereas everything on FA screams that text content was an after thought. Anyhow, if I draw, I'd want to make it look semi decent. And I've come to the conclusion that the only way I'll get semi decent is by doing nothing but practice that skill in my free time, meaning no more writing for up to a year. I'll effectively go dark unless I make a sketch I'm really proud of or something.

The fact of the matter is writing just takes so much time. It takes a long ass time for me to make a story. Alchemess was originally supposed to be a one part, ten thousand word story, but like all of my other works, it ends up being way longer than intended, thus taking longer to finish than intended. I've never been able to chop down word counts or keep down the repetition in stories so that I can churn things out quicker. And as a result (once again, feel free to call it petty) my ability to get noticed is hindered. Maybe I would've decided on this differently had the rewrite for Gilda's Redemption gotten more attention, but rewriting an entire 40k word story for a whopping 20 likes, a couple comments, and a bundle of faves just... isn't fun. Even now, I regret not just reposting it and slapping a giant 'R' on the title. I don't think it would've hit featured, or even surpassed the current amount of likes it has right now, but idk, it starts to feel like my work is under appreciated.

And no, I won't be deleting my other two stories. A few people noticed that I'd deleted my other works involving feral characters and Spike from the show, but that was entirely because I thought they were bad stories, nothing to do with wanting to quit. In fact, you can still view the Pinkie x Spike story on Oatsy's account here. We got a mod to just change ownership of it, very kind of them. I'll do one better too, from here on out I will no longer delete my works if I believe they aren't up to spec in the future.

So yeah, gonna finish this story, maybe by the end of August, then I'll put a legitimate effort in learning to draw. I don't have an answer for when I'll come back to writing, and certainly not an answer for when I'll put out another pony story. If you weren't at all interested in general furry art, this... probably looks like the end of the road for this account on your end. I'd apologize, but there's not really much for me to be sorry about in this case. What started as fun and a passion for writing lewd things down turned into a chore where I thought I wasn't getting the recognition I deserved. Certainly, if I just kept posting stories, I'd eventually hit some mark I'd deem satisfactory, but I just don't have it in me to keep making pony stuff right now.
