When I first started the story that now bears the title Traveling A New Road, I was in a much different place, mentally and literally. I believe I began writing this about four years ago. I had been co-writing with a very dear friend of mine, and having quite a nice time doing so, to be honest. However, something inside felt unfulfilled -- I wanted to write something that was my own. Back in November, I got moved to another job within my company, and for a couple of months that was going pretty well. Then, at the end of January, I got a promotion to terminal manager, which is requiring me to pack up and move a couple of hundred miles away while commuting back and forth each week in the interim.

Understandably, he was nervous about this, because this was the longest story he had written by far (without a co-author) and contained elements that were sure to provoke ire among many core groups of readers.
I hope to have another chapter of The Longhaul Chronicles up fairly soon. For those of you that have read it and enjoyed it, I thank you very much. I can only hope I continue to meet your standards for good storytelling.
Yay!
