Equestria Girls: Rollercoaster of Friendship *Spoilers Maybe* · 5:56am Jul 8th, 2018
Okay, so I got to watch this episode of Equestria Girls today and I have only one thing to say....
Horrible
That’s right, you heard me. Rollercoaster of Friendship was the worst episode of this series I ever watched. As with Forgotten Friendship, I will be giving the pros and cons of this episode.
Cons:
1.) Let’s start off with Vignette Valencia. This was another one dimensional character that was just created to be a one off villain like Wallflower Blush. She was honestly a brat who just needed to be put across someone’s knee and given a hard spanking.
I hope to Celestia that if they make another one of these that they actually come up with a villain that is actually interesting and maybe even a serious threat with whatever Equestrian magic they get their hands on.
2.) The entire plot for this episode was just very lackluster. While there were some funny moments, they were few and far between and made me wish I could of just fast forwarded to the next funny scene so I didn’t have to watch the rest of the crap between them.
Pros:
1.) There were several funny scenes in the episode, like Sunset’s freak out at not being able to land a hoop on a bottle and getting a pity prize from Flim and Flam. But, as I said in the Cons section, they were few and far between.
2.) Seriously, are the writers trying to ship the girls together for real or is it just one big tease? I mean, some of the looks that Rarity and Applejack were giving each other were damn near the kind lovers would give each other.
Let’s also not forget that they had Sunset and Twilight together and Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash together. This is like the main ships that I know on here that are popular. The writers have to be checking this place out or they’re too damn perceptive for their own good.
Pro/Con:
1.) Only 2 songs this episode: the intro and the one after they had defeated Vignette. Sadly, the 2nd song wasn’t worth listening to.
I’m giving Rollercoaster of Friendship a pitiful 3/10. While there were some funny moments, the whole episode was a let down in general. I would tell those reading who haven’t seen it (and I wonder why you are reading this if you haven’t since I put Spoilers in the title) to just skip this. You wouldn’t have missed anything by skipping it.
