Well, It took the night, but certain alterations in the first four chapters of Book One were made as well as some minor adjustments to chapter 7...
Enter Wheat Wacker, a unicorn stallion who is actually a skeptic when it comes to Tyler. His role is more that of someone being a minor adversary beside the void creatures in the first four chapters. While most of the ponies simply believe Tyler to mean them no harm, he doesn't buy it.
As such, things go not as smooth for Tyler, what should negate the Gary Stue stuff by several degrees. During Rainbow's Q&A the ponies partially leave the place, Filthy Rich isn't even making an advertisement deal proposal with Tyler and only wants to do a presentation of his shop. Later, in chapter 7, we learn what becomes of Wheat Wacker. What began as a misunderstanding turned into something worse.
Several readers had made remarks that things were just flying towards Tyler and that he had it way too easy. Taking a look at the story, I had to agree.I have thought about it for a long time and decided that a certain individual, being a counterbalance towards Tyler, would be sufficient to get Tyler down a nudge or two, so he isn't friends with everypony, but only a few ponies and only some part of the population learn to know that he's actually a pleasant natured guy.
This was long overdue and even though these adjustments are only a few paragraphs each, I think I'll only make further adjustments when I get another editor/proofreader. There had been adjustments in the past as well and these extended other parts of the beginning as well. As far as I'm concerned, these few adjustments should be the last one in order to correct anything story-wise and I tried to keep them at a minimum, so no reader would feel blindsided by a myriad of new lore.
Hope you guys still enjoy it.
Will have to check it out!
