Rain!?... psh, we had hail the other day. It was terrible

Yeah but it hurts. And dents cars if it is bad enough and is a bitch and a half to go through. But outside of the moderate pain, and property damage, hail isn't really that bad!
Routine? Not here it isn't. I live in California, which has a Mediterranean climate — meaning that all of our precipitation sweeps in over the Pacific Ocean during the winter and spring, and round about April the skies go utterly cloudless for six months. Rain near the summer solstice is very much a
thing.
