This is me, writing on Sunday 17th June. Well, technically it's now Monday by my clock, but who's counting. I wasn't there for the whole of yesterday, when you posted this journal, and that removed my opportunity to read any of what you'd written on that day.

However, I've spent a lot of today going on a Spectrum binge, something reading your journal no doubt helped inspire, mate. And I look back and it brings five years' worth of memories flooding into me, not all of them positive, but still, few of them feel like a waste, either.

The problems that eventually led to the cancellation of the original The Other Side of the Spectrum may have always been there, insidious for the most part, albeit obvious if you know where and how to look, yet for a long time, that's all they were, just seeds. When you mentally make them as small as seeds again, the old charm is still buried in there alongside them, somewhere.

I do hope you'll find it in you to finish in Snowbound, in particular. Especially thanks to the presence of two certain characters who also make their debut appearance, within the wider 'verse outside the story which introduced them, in The Slow Mutants...
