Shorter chapter but it's almost like Chapter 12 part 2 since it happens on the same day. So plot progress? Yes, but like minimal. This is the angst chapter. Full of angst and sad. And clingy relationships.
Usually don't want things all happening same day in the story but the ending point of the previous chapter gave me a lot of material to build up to and start working with. And no, Diamond Dogs will be talked about more through the next few chapters, just felt like I should start outlining an actual society based on dogs that didn't involve just kidnapping others all the time. I'm not throwing that out entirely but I want them to have a structure beyond just that. And I know the comics have some society of dogs, but I'm not using that one since I don't really read the comics often enough to be familiar with using that as a basis. Plus it's more ideas of me so creativity bonus. Does it work perfectly? Probably not, but it does the job okay.
Back to scheduled further progress next chapter.
