When it rains it pours. Say hello to my computer or rather my mildly expensive doorstop seeing as it is not longer wishing to function. While I am not computer wizard, I have narrowed down the problem to two possible scenarios.
1. I need a new motherboard.
2. The RAM sticks.
I have determined that the six slots for RAM, as pictured below, are either broken or the sticks themselves are broken. I’m sure there is a better term to us other than broken but I find it easier to us broken. So what does this mean? Well it means I cannot access the chapter I was going to release, but since I’m not a complete moron I still have the draft in Google Docs so it isn’t a total loss.
Luckily, I have two friends that are high ranking computer wizards that will be assessing and determining the problem for themselves. At which point I’ll either have to dish out some cash for a new motherboard, which might mean a new tower, or buy some new RAM. I also have a family member that has a seriously good discount at Fry’s which would help with the potential costs.
tl;dr : My computer is not working. I shall be attempting to upload chapters via my phone.
