In the end, I decided to take the day off after all - meaning my total word count for May is officially 31,104.
For the coming month of June, as I do expect to require a significant amount of time to edit Synchrony, I've decided not to make a goal for the month. I will, however, continue to attempt 1,000 words a day for each day that I'm not focused on editing. And, of course, I will continue my nightly update blogs.
