I've been considering posting Adagio's Lament as a separate story, in part because it is quite long, just barely under 10k words. It's length also means it doesn't slot quite as gracefully as I would like into the narrative of Dead by Sunset. That being said, it is a necessary piece to the narrative itself as you will all see.
Originally it was going to be 'Interlude IV' but I'm a little hesitant to do it that way since the interludes were always about what was happening in the real world, with the other girls (and Discord now) but at the same time it's not really a chapter of the Sunset's story. This tale really is Adagio's Story. Sunset has no part in it and that kind of makes it feel out of place when I think about putting it into the chapter list of Dead by Sunset.
So what do all of you think? Let me know in the comments, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
I'm surprised no one has posted anything here. I honestly really enjoy the story. I love the character change sunset is going through and I do feel like you are right that this is a story primarily focused on Sunset. So in my opinion, while Adagios story is important to her character and why she's in the cabin and what not; I feel it should be a side story.
