Somewhere in the USA. Probably older than you. And something about MLP:FIM makes me want to write stories. Unfortunately, being gainfully employed cuts into my writing time.

    Retrospective Review: Strong Seconds

Not an episode review this time.

PresentPerfect writes about the "Applejack Problem", that a character with everything figured out becomes too boring. Her cutie mark is literally deciding she wants to stay home.

Retrospective Review: Putting Your Hoof Down and It's About Time

    S2E19 Putting Your Hoof Down

Watching this episode as part of the whole series is jarring. You have episode after episode of ponies being kind and friendly, then a whole bunch of rude ponies all at once.

I hate Angel Bunny in this episode. I want to turn him into hasenpfeffer.

I'd like to know why there just happens to be a hedge maze somewhere near Ponyville.

Retrospective Review: Hearts and Hooves Day and A Friend in Deed

    S2E17 Hearts and Hooves Day

The writers have chosen, once again, to feature a holiday or celebration in this episode. Arguably, this is the seventh time (Summer Sun Celebration, Winter Wrap Up, Running of the Leaves, Grand Galloping Gala, Nightmare Night, Hearth's Warming, Hearts and Hooves Day), and the third time directly referencing a major American holiday.

Retrospective Review: Baby Cakes and The Last Roundup

    S2E13 Baby Cakes

So this was an episode that came completely out of the blue. There was no indication of Cup Cake being pregnant, let alone with twins. I'm assuming there was a toy involved.

"That makes sense, right?" Sure, but if you're a pegasus stallion with a beige coat or a unicorn stallion with a yellow coat, I wouldn't recommend dining at Sugarcube Corner.

MLP: FIM writers are reading my stories! · 11:58pm May 29th, 2018

First, I write a story where Apple Bloom has been sneaking around with other fruit, specifically pears, and then we see an episode where we learn that her father embraced pears, in more ways than one.

Then I write a story where Spike gets wings, and then we see an episode where Spike gets wings.

To be honest, neither of these ideas is that unusual, and no doubt many people have thought up these developments based on what's come before in the series. But I still like to say the show's writers are watching me.

It's good to dream.

You're not the only one. A few writers have seen suspiciously conspicuous things showing up in canon. I've seen a FEW things crop up that seem to be deliberate references to my stuff, Skirts' stuff, etc...

4872634 After going to EFNW and listening to the writers, I'm fairly sure Twilight isn't going to fall for a Traveling Tutor and raise a family. Or lay an egg. "No kissie!"

What examples do you have in mind?

Obligatory joke about The Cutie Re-Mark and Fallout: Equestria.

Just off the top of my head (and it is late and I'm half awake so I'm sure I'll miss some):
- "Scare Master" has Twilight dressed as Athena. In Persona EG, Twilight's Persona is Athena. Preceded the episode by almost a full year.
- In recent materials, Equestria Girls Fluttershy has been showing her surlier, snarkier, vaguely bitchy side more and more frequently, almost in direct escalation with the way I tend to write her. The bitchier I make her in my fanfics, the bitchier she gets in canon.
- EG Zephyr Breeze is pretty much a G-rated version of the sleazy douchebag I tend to write him as. Hell, their version of him even goes around bare-chested, which escalates him PAST my version.
- Wallflower Blush is blatantly an expy of Skirts' Background Pony Lyra.

There've been other examples I can't recall off the top of my head, but those are just a few of the more conspicuous things some of us have noticed.
