Just a man. Nothing special. I like almost everything I can find about sci-fi and epic high fantasy. I like plenty of other things, but you don't really care about that I'm sure.
Hey guys, yeah, it’s me. I don’t know how many of you are still here but I feel I should say something now that the end of the show has hit us. I was putting it off because I didn’t want things to end. That’s what everything does eventually though doesn’t it? Things end. Every great story has an end. Every great feat in history ended eventually. People die.
So yeah, the Discord story is not dead. I've actually been working on it off and on for the last month or so. I've also gone through out the first chapter and edited it again with the help of various editors who are mentioned in the author notes of the 2nd chapter. I never really abandoned this. I just did my best to make it a better story. Lets see if the hard work paid off or not. At the very
Hey guys, I know I haven't updated anything recently. To be honest I've been really depressed lately. I've also had all my free time consumed by a few thing like
We have about 5 days left to get over 50,000 signatures to stop the government from doing it's best to CENSOR the internet as they and certain others parties see fit. HELP STOP IT AND SIGN THE PETITION. KEEP THE FREEDOM OF THE INTERNET ALIVE. We've done it once before and we can do it again.
Please, too any and all watchers and readers of my Dying Embers story I need an answer. If I did a one-shot of Twilight and Spike exploring a devestated city would you read it?
Yep id probably read it, specially if it was a human city, possibly from your Dying Embers fic? Oh, and while im here there was one thing that confused me about something in DE. Do Warforged need to eat food? I just remembered you mentioning them during the whole battle for resources bit and that confused me.
476364 Glad to hear that. To answer your question its worse then that. The worforged require crystaline minirals for sustanance. It doesnt have to be valuable gems like rubys, it can be something like quarts or jet, but it still caused problems. Also the warforged had an aggressive need for land to build foundries to add to thier number and make thier tools and such. In case you want to know the warforged as well as the other offending races were not made extinct. They were all banished to verious distant and seperate lands and places. Some like the warforged who were majorly different on a biological level were sent to different relms more hostile yet survivable to thier kind. There are only so many distant lands to stick the offending races.
476590 Ahhh ok that makes sense to me now, thanks for that clarification. two last questions if you dont mind. The thirty or so fighters that attacked Ponyville are they just the combatants at the lead of a column of civilians, or are they it as far as population goes? I only ask because that seems like an awfully small number for genetic diversity and to risk any of them in combat would be crazy. (which the leader is so no biggie there.)
You know i think your story would be well served if you included your oneshot idea into an entire chapter. A sort of flashback so that we the readers can experience first hand the harshness of the humans previous residence. It would bring us a lot closer to your human characters if we knew why they are so scarce and talk about the world they were sent to like it was some kind of hell.
As a matter of fact that IS the whole of the humans. Most refused to come with Illitheous. He was a seemingly mad figure with a false promised land and dreams of reclaiming a past that most had no real connection to (over several millenia ago remember). Still, Illitheous found a way for those who agreed to join him and that hidden passage beyond the veils of realities is still there to be used again by any who have made thee jorney before. If all goes as planned you can bet more humans will trickle their way to the crusaders and their empire. The one shot will indeed have humans in it but they will not be from the DE universe. Its just a seperate thing I've thought about doing. I'm still waiting for more replies on this jornal on who wants me to give it a (one)shot. I actually feel that I may have made my humans a little too sympathetic. I originally intended for DE to be a morably questionable tale as far as who's wrong and whose write. Both sides are at fault for things but I knew going in there was a lttle anit-human opinion in this community so I worked extra hard not to have them seem like the admitedly common "were humans and we want to ruin everything blarg!" take on human invasion. so yeah, feel free to spread the word about any of this to other reader if you want. Just because I couldn't include it in the story doesn't mean I didn't think out the world building portion of it.
Most likely yes.
453943 Ok 1 vote for yes...thats a start I guess. Around 90 or so other opinions to go.
Hmm. That might be interesting
Sure, why not?
