An ungodly place

And shit me is it hot. A charming 40^oC today at ground temperature, taking humidity into account. This poor British body peaks at 25, any more is just hell. Still, I'm alive, I'm soldiering on, world keeps turning and so forth.

I think this is a good week to chat about future ideas, as I'm currently out of them. Gumdrop has dried up, I've got 3/4 of a story done and I'm just not feeling it. it's not funny enough, it's not gripping enough, it just sort of exists. It doesn't stir anything from me beyond a "eh" and that's not what I write... or, rather, want to write. Not everything will hit the mark all the time, and that's how things fly, but it's still irritating as hell. More so because I want more Gumdrop, I want to get more kiddy/lighthearted stuff written but it feels like fluff. Nothing happens, it just goes nowhere.

I don't want to rely on crudeness to get people reading my stuff, nor do I only want to write dark things. Sometimes I just want to write a damn silly story and get it over with. Hell, I have half a mind to rework an old piece to work with a different character just for the hell of it. Who knows, maybe I'll actually go through with it one day.

Beyond that, not much to report from this lonesome writer. Got a tattoo of my favourite band of all time, so that's something I suppose, and I'm confirmed to be working here for another year to come. Watch this space as well for more Sour Cherry arts, I've got a few more characters on their way!
