    Trying to write again.

I'm not sure if I've lost my writing touch. I'm trying to write again, but at times, I have to be an adult and caretaker of my father's estate, including the dogs and horse that are still around, plus my stepmom who shows some of them. And that takes up some of my time to write.

    I'm still here

Sorry if I'm not as active in updating my stories as I have hoped for. I'm still dealing with everything at home as an adult. Part of it has t deal with taking care of the dogs when needed. But my step mom is working on sending some guest dogs back home before next month, and finding homes of some of the dogs that she can no longer show. It's that part that has taken up my time. But the

    Being 40 years old

That's right. I just turned the big 4-0. And somehow, it's not what I wanted it to be. I've been spending the past couple of weeks racking my brain about all the stuff I have around my room and what's in storage, and came to a decision to sell it. But it hasn't been easy. I have a lot of video games, toys, and comics and graphic novels that I decided to get out of here. But doing it by

    Trader_Jack > Gear Works

I decided to make the name change. Now I go by Gear Works. One of the characters that I created has become more of a staple in my life. I guess you can say that it's time to start a new chapter in my life.

But the winter weather has finally left when the month started, which was what brought me down at times. Now I'm having to work on getting the grass cut around home.

Plus, the hockey season came to an end here when my Nashville Predators got eliminated a couple of days ago. So I now have more open nights of not having to worry about attending games there until the late fall.

And I'm trying to get back into the gaming when I just need to kill some time that doesn't involve writing. Busy with Breath of the Wild right now.

As for the active stories, I'm struggling with the next chapters in The College Years and Under the Blue Moon. The next chapter for Equestria World is running in my head right now, just trying to bring out the words for it. As for Rara's Reality, I hope to get the next chapter in the works as well and maybe get to write the spin-off that I have been wanting to work on. I don't get to write much like others because I know my stories aren't as big as some of the big names that are out there. So it's hard to motivate myself to write more.

It's good to see you're still here and I can assure you it's nothing bad that your stories aren't that big. Many times it's not about the quality of the story, but rather how many people it reaches and in what general direction it goes. Picture this: an awesome story, easily 50 chapters long, very well written, but in the description you can see that it is set in a genre many people don't like. And simply because of that they won't even look at the story because it's one of those stories.
What I want to say with that is that (to me at least) it doesn't matter how many views a story has or which genre it is, as long as it's well written. And your stuff certainly is
