Instances of the word "Fart" per story:
Just going by this you would assume that there has been some variance and that the overall usage has increased over time. However, in graph 2 we factor in the actual story length in a 2D scatter plot:
This more clearly shows that, while usages of the word "fart" were slow to begin with, they have appeared at a more or less steady rate since Eljunbyro. Colloquially, I would interpret this as meaning "It's not a word Rainbow Dash used much, until Josho showed up".

I would have sworn there would have been ten times that number by now. Like, I'd figured someone had challenged IC to use it once per chapter as a dare, or something.

Yeah, so I had made this post with some initial data and then afterwards realized I didn't catch all the farts so I quickly edited the graphs. However, apparently Fimfic caches all external images (?, I guess so Imgur stops blocking us?), and the graphs never updated. They are changed now though.

First off, God bless you -- I think I can retire now after seeing you post that screencap of my comment from eons ago. (Man, what was the context of that, anyways?? haha) Short of tricking Skirts into naming a character after me, this will probably be my high-water mark on this site.
It's been over a month since I last logged in (which means hoooooly cow I've got some catching up to do), and seeing this dumb, beautiful post pop up on my feed (and then stumbling across your comment) was well worth it. You are an international treasure, my friend.
