I am quickly finding out that certain kinds of stories are a little harder for me to write for. I won't say exactly which ones, because that would be spoiler. However I will say that it's part of the reason things are moving forward a bit slower than it used to.
The other reason is that I'm no longer dealing with subject matter I have personal experience in. It doesn't come quite so quickly, and so I have to write it as it comes, no matter what the pace might be.
You see, I don't have a timeline. Nothing is truly planned out event by event. I know the gist of what I want for major events, but everything else is played by ear. Even one of the most major scenes I've written was something I came up with on the fly.
But, I can assure you, I am making progress. It just might take a bit longer.
