I've been dipping into photography over the years. I was hoping to become more adept at the art, and these are a compilation of some photos I've taken. Please note that they were all taken with a cellphone, so although they won't be HD, they're good enough to portray what I took them for. Tell me what you think, and don't be afraid to ask questions if you have any!
I’m all for people wanting to get interested in photography. Personally, I really like the 2nd photo, although I would have taken a step to the left and gotten closer to the ground. That way you have leading lines and it’ll make the ‘tunnel of trees’ look bigger. That or the same step to the left and get higher but angled down a touch.
That said, they aren’t bad. Depending on your phone, see if you can turn on the grid in the settings. Yeah, it is annoying, but it really helps with composition and rule of thirds. I can ramble on about photography for hours though.
Practice, practice, practice, practice. That’s the key.

I'm definitely going to practice as much as possible. I love getting a good picture to share with people. Nothing captures a moment in time like a good photo.
#2 3,4 very nice. what gear do you have?

Cellphone. :(

Exactly my thoughts. Although as a fair warning, getting into bigger camera gear gets expensive. Take that from a guy that could have bought a new car for less than what I have invested in my gear.
Seriously though, practice and understanding light will get you far. A pro with a cell phone can take better photos than some random person with pro level gear. It's not the camera, but the person behind it that matters. I can dig up a bunch of stuff to read if you have any specific interests for stuff to take photos of though.
Yeah I agree with what the others are saying. I would recommend getting some nice gear that'l last ya. I personally have a Canon EOS 5D, and I just recently gave away my canon EOS 60D. I use a Sony PXW-X70 XDCAM. While I may not know much about Photography, I am a Cinematographer.
So if your planning on Photography, I recommend the 60D, and If ya have the money a 5D Mk iii.
And for Cinematography, the Sony.
But gear can only get you so far. PRACTICE. I know it's what anyone will tell you but Do it plz

I’ve culled my info from here and still log in on occasion to see what stuff has updated. As a whole, I’m still out of here though. Slowly working on getting set up somewhere else, but no ETA due to medical.
