Taking it easy for a bit · 3:07am Apr 15th, 2018
I think I may have overused a muscle or I popped something in my neck wrong so I can't really use one of my arms at it's full 100 percent ability so since I'm kind of in a slight pain, I've been finally catching up on the seasons of MLP I missed.
Slight as in more of a dull annoying pain that has been actually getting better, and not the I'm in total abject pain please get me to a hospital kind of pain.
Really started yesterday right when I was about to sit down and write so no new progress, but I've spent this time watching the show and finally after about 3 years, I'm finally on season 6.
Feels good and I'm really only doing this to see episodes I could do different. I definitely see ideas forming in the back of my head and thanks to setting my story in a weird mix of sort of season five and six thanks to me just cramming random stuff I remember seeing from before where I skipped around season five and six it's a bit of a tangled mess.
But the places certain episodes might go in the story might switch or go away entirely. Like since I mentioned that Twilight was already an aunt in this story of mine, I don't have to do that episode where Pinkie tried to hide the pregnancy secret from all of her friends. Which I found to be okay but kind of filler.
But I finally got to a major Starlight episode after her reformation besides the season 6 opening episodes since I had already watched them. And well seeing that even the show's idea of early season 6 reformed Starlight still jokes about enslaving all of Ponyville to get new friends and tries to use magic to fix all of her problems and forces Big Mac to talk more through magical means- I think at least reformed Starlight hasn't lost the thing I liked with her being evil. That kind of "I don't see the problem of using magic to fix every single one of my issues" flaw. But yeah having more Trixie in the show was nice. Taking a break since I got from the midpoint of season five to the thirdway point of season 6 in a day.
All for getting to see the Pillars of Equestria season in context so I don't jump from season five to season seven. Cause while having Season five be a downgrade in the show's villain when comparing Starlight, resident cult leader, to Tirek, literal cloven hooved centaur demon, and season seven's fight against a quote from Nietzche- the whole "If you stare too long into an abyss, the abyss stares back into you."
I just want to see Mage Meadowbrook in action so I can see her class skills. So then depending on the party's loadout and class balances and secondary classes, I can make her artifacts make logical sense in context. Cause while I really want to make them act like the biggest DnD or Skyrim characters due to them being ancient warriors, like I need to see them in action before I can see what I'd think her artifacts are.
