    Be still, sad heart! and cease repining; Behind the clouds is the sun still shining.

    You probably know how this sort of thing goes. There you are, mowing your grass on a day that can't decide whether to shine or drizzle on you, a few years and counting into your non-writing streak. Whatever thoughts you're having are at the expense of your lawnmower picking a fight with every passing tuffet and losing.

    Tyomnaya strana

    Just as alicorns descend upon parched wastelands bearing storms and seeds, so too do kindly translators upon my horsewords. Dark Country's received a Russian translation by the kind efforts of

    Stellarum voces

    A jolly update for folk who like either fanfic readings or The Motion of the Stars, and a downright rapturous one for folk who like both. My name is R has brought their vocal talent to bear on the story, complete with images and background music to help

    On Brains

    A nice breezy dialogue to ease in with:

    CARABAS’ COMMON SENSE: So, a hypothetical conservation for you.
    CARABAS: Two lines in and we’ve already got fictional discourse nested in the initial fictional discourse. Gosh, I must just love to live dangerously.

March's end · 4:18pm Apr 13th, 2018

Wedding March is finished at last.

No, that line of text isn't a visual hallucination induced by deprivation and madness. The strange aeon's come; the bloody thing's done and dusted and done again for good measure.

Before I chunter on, tremendous thanks are owed to Georg and Infernus Noctis, who volunteered their proofreading skills to ensure what was left of the story got as good a spit-and-polish as it could past my own ineptitude. If they ever appear in news reports as having robbed a bank, assume that I'll have tried to repay them by acting as their getaway driver. They've earned it thoroughly.

One new chapter's already up. Two more'll follow, one tomorrow and the epilogue on Sunday. Between their postings, I'll begin proper work on my Springtime Sequel-Slash-Sandbox Switcheroo piece (for which, I'll add, I've been assigned someone superb and right up my alley), and reply to things as normal.

It's good to be able to post this at long last. I'll discuss other things related to Wedding March in another blog in a few days, some of which'll be germane to how I approach stories in the future. Hang around for that, if you're at all interested, and I hope you enjoy the last of Wedding March in the meantime.

I know you like to keep it classy around here, so I will refrain openly offering you favours of a sexual nature, but know that I am thankful for this news regardless.

That's quite acceptable. Nothing we can't sort out with subtext and eyebrow-waggling.

4839276

Are our usual interactions not already shameless flirting disguised by ten layers of irony and Lovecraft references?

4839279
They're whatever you want them to be, darling.

"Oh yeah, new Palaververse story. I'll wait till it's completed and read out all through at once!"

*smash cut to bleached white skeleton*

You have no idea the amount of willpower I am exercising to not escalate the inappropriateness here. All my manwhore instincts are screaming at me, and I blame you.

This is excellent news! I will gladly enjoy reading more of your take on Thorax and the misadventures of the CMC over this weekend!

On that general note -- I assume we can expect whichever story you mean to work on next to be done sometime before the show wraps up? :P

Huzzah! Looking forward to the grand conclusion. I'll dive into the latest chapter right now.

4839284
I object to this shabby characterisation of my writing speed.

I mean, we're talking 'sub-atomic dust after the heat death of the universe' if you wanted to be accurate.

4839289
I'll escalate your inappropriateness. Eh. Eh.

4839291
That, er, depends. What century is the show expected to wrap up in, remind me?

4839295
Hope it's suitably grand! :pinkiehappy:

4839301

Cease tormenting me, harlot.

4839307
You know you love it.

4839312

That is besides the point and you know it.

4839316
I'll besides your point.

...I don't know either.

4839321

You tried/10.

When even the blog post comments entertain.

After a good 20 minutes of searching, I found it. This would be you Carabas.

4839369
I try my best.

4839386
Can't be. Randy's far too competent.

4839405
Thank you! Hope you're doing well. :twilightsmile:

So, this is gonna end like Canon, and this is all background expansion, I think... Hmm.

How long is that final chapter, for everything to come together? ... Or, are some things gonna not be BigDamnHeroes, but arrive after its all over?? Hmm...

... We have:

* Luna (maybe), Celestia (maybe)
* the Mane6 (maybe)
* Philomena
* the Garden Shed Group
* the Outsiders with Lubya
* the Ornithopter Squad...

So, you either elide over some of the groups showing up, or they don't meet up... Ah. Everything ends with the Love Shield of Fix Everything... Which might happen before some people need to be BigDamnHeroes... But, Love Shield likely happens right at the end... So... What's gonna happen in the next part?

Speculation is hard.

I saw this post's title, jumped into the chapter to avoid spoilers, and became very confused when the apparent ending was Charity cleansing the city in a blast of nuclear fire.

I did not know this story existed

Oh boy!

4839620
Canon ending, aye, with true love saving the day and expelling the changelings from Canterlot. Next chapter and the epilogue are beasts, but they should resolve what goes on the various groups. A few hours remain in which to speculate freely what form that might take.

4839676
"Rocks fall, everyone dies" needed replacing as a cop-out ending, and "Charity descends" seemed to convey the same thing, more succinctly.

4839701
Now you get to plunge right into its bloatedness, you lucky thing, you. :pinkiehappy:

4841826
Glad you liked it! Exposure to words used in daft ways is always good fun. :pinkiehappy:
