Some recap of the past month-ish · 6:22am Apr 1st, 2018
Decided to kinda fill in some details of the last month since I had a rather unexpected change that I am still dealing with. March started off kinda boring. Go to work, dick around with the couple hours between work and sleep I have, that sorta thing. But on the 9th I got Open Doored at Walmart. Basically what Open Door is, is that when an associate needs to bring up a complaint or an issue to a member of managment, normally concerning another associate, it is considered the open door process when it is actually documented then investigated. Now, I got Open Doored for a violent threat. I joked around with a co-worker, said a joke I have said to him before and one he normally was okay with, and he suddenly got pissy and claimed I threatened him. Of course, I didn't know until the next day when I got hauled into the office for it. He also threatened me before I was pulled in and I brought it up to the Store Manager. I am assuming because I didn't write it down in my report of what happened (I was having a fucking panic attack cuz I knew I was probably going to get fired) that they decided to not follow up on it and he never got fired. On the following monday, I got fired. Supposedly, Market already made the desicion for Termination on Saturday but I didn't work and idfk why they didn't do it Sunday. So since then I have been taking a break. I have techincally been working since I was 9, so basically 11 years of my life considering I'm 20 now. I am trying to get my drivers license before I try to find a job so that has been a thing but idk how long till that will happen. Plus, it's a shot in the dark wether or not an employer will want to take me since my previous job fired me for Gross Misconduct. So let that be a reminder kids, jokes are apparently grounds for termination.
Meh, people are too easily offended. But yeah you should be careful with who you joke around with nowdays.
Then again i work in the logistics part of a store chain, but i imagine working in the selling part is quiet a worse experience...
