Update 27 Patch Discussion · 4:40am Apr 1st, 2018
Added new Power Armor item
We’ve partnered up with a guy who worked on Fallout Equestria (They didn’t fire him. They parted on equal terms) to bring you a new, exciting way to play. Introducing Power Armor, a new clothing type that will give Gilda a significant advantage in the battle field. Equipping power armor will allow Gilda to lift heavy objects, punch things really hard, take spells to the face, and administer healing potions when needed. “But our Holy Game Designers, Gilda can already do those things.” Yes, she can, but now she can do them better!
To get your new set of Power Armor today, head on over to our online store and sign up for a monthly Power Armor subscription for $5.99 a month and dominate Manehattan today!
Removed socks
For the past few months, our team has been going over a hot topic of debate, Socks vs Stockings. We love to see the creativity of the players when it comes to Stockings, and we see them as a vital part of the game experience. However, players have been ignoring Stockings towards the endgame and choosing Socks, which streamlines gameplay and makes for a more predictable experience. Socks overcomes several disadvantages of Stockings without any significant drawback. The drawbacks that exist can be solved simply by adding more Socks. We understand Socks are an integral part of many players’ builds, but I like Stockings better. My word is law, so we’re removing Socks. Suck it Sock users, you’re playing my game!
Increased microtransaction prices according to Russian inflation
We’ve looked at our numbers, and we’ve noticed microtransaction revenue is dropping. One of our team members claimed players don’t like paying more money in a single player experience they bought for full price. We fired that team member for coming into work half a minute late. Our bean counters came up with a better answer. Our prices aren’t keeping up with inflation! It’s that simple! In response, we bumped up the prices on the online store in accordance to Russian inflation.
Why Russian inflation? We wanted to do Greek inflation, but no one in our company knows how to speak Greek. We do have an intern who plays a lot of CS:GO, which we understand has a lot of Russian in it, so we had him handle this project. If there are any mistakes, sorry. No one on our team is able to double check the intern. The rest of us play Call of Duty. No Russian.
Refactored Database so the programmers can figure out what the hell is going on
[Serious] I’ve said this is the last blog I did, I did no planning on this story when I started out. Most of it is just me winging it. The lack of planning was going well for a little bit, but now it’s showing some issues. I’m not going to go into detail here, as I already did that in the last blog.
To compensate for my lack of planning, I’ve been rereading my story for the past month and tracking every character, plot point, and interaction on a spreadsheet. I’m using it as a tool to help me salvage the mess I made when I’m writing future chapters. If you’d like, you can look at it here. If I added something to the story, even if it doesn’t seem important, I’ve tracked it here. It’s got color coding and a kill counter! While this makes me slightly more organized than before, I’m not going to be making sweeping edits or rewrites to what I’ve written. If you’re reading this, then I assume you’ve reached chapter 26 or 27. If you’re this far, then it won’t be fair for me blindside you with something I removed or added in an earlier chapter.
Added Level 27
[Serious]By the way, happy April Fools day. Have a chapter, and an announcement of somewhat weekly chapters for the next several weeks. I know I have long gaps in publishing, and it might seem like I’ve been meandering about with the story. Don’t worry, I’m always working on this story, one way or another. Also, in the upcoming weeks, I’ll be setting the story up to transition to the end game. That’s right, we’re looking at the end soon. I’m aiming to finish Gilda’s adventure by today next year, if not sooner. We’ll see what happens.
Fixed other minor bugs
[Serious]With the process of organizing everything in a spreadsheet, I’ve also been going through to proofread and edit all my previous chapters. I’m not perfect, so a few mistakes slipped by me on my initial readings. Some sentences have been rewritten to make things a bit more clear, along with spelling and grammar fixes, and a few other changes I’ve been meaning to make for a while. All in all, it’s been a productive month.
