My Thoughts on 'The Maud Couple' (S8E3) · 4:15pm Mar 31st, 2018
Again, there won't be major spoilers, but I do talk about Maud's boyfriend a bit, so...
I really dug this episode.
So, the basic moral of the story is that sometimes we may not find someone all that appealing, but if our friends do and they're not like a legit terrible person, we should be happy for them. It's a really simple lesson, but a sweet one, nonetheless.
As far as characters go, I always love me a good Pinkie Pie episode. She's always fun, random and exciting. And, of course, I love Maud Pie. She's great and this episode is no exception. From her comedy show opening to the very end, she brought her own humor and it was fantastic. As far as her boyfriend goes, he's a real stick in the maud. () But, you know what, he was enjoyable enough to have on the screen. Plus, there's a cute moment with him and Pinkie at the end that warmed my heart.
As far as negatives go, this episode doesn't really do much new in the world of cartoon lessons and it didn't really do much for any character growth. I mean, a character has a boyfriend now, but who knows if he'll make a reappearance. It wasn't particularly fascinating, but it was good.
One important thing, though: Maud used the term boyfriend, so we can finally ditch the 'marefriend, coltfriend' thing, right? I hope so...
Anyhow, that's pretty much it!
Final Score: 7/10
Good score. Great review. Again, I'm pretty sure Maud's boyfriend was voiced by Jim Parsons.
As a bunch of people said in the episode discussion, he's basically Sheldon Cooper.
Though technically, he is a pony.
And he made Maud actually smile. That's a pretty big deal.
4829248 Yeah, I was trying to find the voice actor but it looks like it hasn't been posted yet. If it was, then MB probably won't be making many more appearances.

I wouldn't be surprised.
if you are saying the whole "marefriend/coltfriend" thing is new a none issue, sweetie used the boyfriend/girlfriend in her hearts and hooves day episode song seasons ago.

Technically the guy who voiced him is Adam Kirschner http://www.adamkirschner.net/voiceover/
I would say he's pretty much a pony version of Sheldon Cooper. I did find him kind of annoying but he did make me laugh. Also Sticks and and Stones get it ! it seems the cannon couple are most similarities attach not opposites which is kind of interesting.

Yep, somebody linked it in the Episode discussion. Good to confirm it.

Technically, Parsons doesn’t Voice him. Adam Kirschner does. Though, I will admit that’s who I First thought of.

Ok. Finally someone confirmed that! I was waiting for someone to do so.
I went through the same thing Pinkie did when my sister started dating her then boyfriend now husband. We get along great now.
