I would have better stated the difference is between the two types of romantic relationships, companionate and passionate. The ones that fail the most Turing are the latter, because they are usually based on hormones and lust, which is the kind most teenagers get into. Your relationship with Maud is the former, based around on deep commitment and affection, and those are the most stable.

Agreed. Though all the happy Maud expressions are adorable, so the episode has that going for it.
