So I'm blocked, a bit.
I've got this Act 2 prologue, right? I know exactly how it goes down. I know who's involved, I know the beginning, middle and end, I know who the POV is, who the antagonist is, what the scenario is, and how it all pans out.
It's the damned details, you know?
I've got three unique versions of it that I'm working on right now. They're each flawed in uniquely different ways, and they're incompatible enough that I can't just mush the good parts together and call it a chapter. Each time I read through what I've got, I'm tempted to create yet another version (this is why I've already got three) because yet another idea occurs to me, so I head-fake left, go right, start the new version, and about 2/3 of the way in I think - man this is almost it, but it's missing [this good part from one of the earlier versions].
Now, I know about 'perfect being the enemy of good' and all that so at some point I'll bite the bullet, put in a feverish day of writing and get something I can live with out there so we can finally... FINALLY... start getting to the good stuff in Act 2. But until then...
... hm maybe if I do it this way...
