    River City Equestria Girls?

Seriously, that's Pinkie Pie on the left, and Rainbow Dash on the right. Tell me I'm wrong.

I will not write a fanfic about the two of them getting into all the fights.

    Probably.

An "I don't have livejournal anymore" sort of update.

    It snowed yesterday.

Which just reminded me how much I don't like winter. It wasn't even a bad snow, just enough of a dusting to linger for a little bit. First one of the season. And I even had the day off from work, due to my schedule, so it's not like I had to do anything ...

    So I didn't.

    Happy Halloween!

So yeah. Despite various distractions (Steam had Darkest Dungeon for UNDER FOUR BUCKS), I've managed to hammer out a ridiculously shippy conclusion to the self indulgent Rarijack story I started.

So that's fun? I gave myself a deadline to finish things on Oct 31, so that's what I did, dangit. Hopefully you guys will enjoy.

ANOTHER CONTEST UPDATE · 3:50am Mar 20th, 2018

So I was going to link to a clip of an old Transformers character going "And awaaaay we go!" as his catchphrase, but that's not on youtube. So here, have this nonsense instead.

(Warpath is awesome, for the record).

In any case, I've just finished sending out the first batch of random fanfic 'assignments' for the Springtime Sequel-Slash-Sandbox Switcheroo! If you haven't gotten your own notification yet, don't worry-- Cynewulf should be sending out the other half before too long. (HINT HINT).

I will confess, I monkeyed with the various assignments, just a little ... mostly because some of you (you know who you are) have a rather ... risque oeuvre, to put it lightly (which is to say: y'all nasty). So I made a slightly token attempt to steer folks with a cleaner body of work away from those without. Of course, I was more or less just going by the seat of my pants, so my apologies if I erred somewhere along the line. Even still, I recommend looking at folks' entries in the original blog post to check their particular preferences. If nothing else, I encourage you all to err on the side of caution, and not write 'adult' fics unless said author specifically asked for them. Or something.

In retrospect, if I do this again next year, I'll have to split authors up by rating ... but hey, you live, you learn, right?

Speaking of learning, one participant brought up a good point for ninja stealthiness-- some of you guys may have the first instinct to instantly fave/bookshelf/whatever your assigned author's stories ... which might be a good way to give yourself away. So your options are to stealthily stalk your assigned author WITHOUT such notifications ... or, you can just enlist a bunch of your friends to go like/comment/favorite on your assigned author's work to cover your own tracks.

(If you got my name, you should totally do the latter, as I pay entirely too much attention to that notification icon).

So yeah. Once you've gotten your assignment, you have a month to go read your assigned author's stuff, and write something, and post it on the FiM Group thing (which you HAVE joined already, yes?) for everyone to enjoy!

I hope I didn't get placed in the naughty group

I mean, they’re going to find out once we post anyway.

So the idea is to not give our assignees any clues till we post our fics?

(Meanwhile, I've had a fun evening reading, and I now need to decide which of the several ideas I've gotten is best worth pursuing. And, decide how much of my own headcanon to mix in.)

Yes, but it'll be a pleasant surprise when they do.

Warpath is the best :D

Is all of Transformers this goofy?

Just the best parts!

Yes.

In one episode, Rodimus Prime -- leader of the good guys, let's not forget -- lets a planet of peaceful Transformers who've sworn off the war explode because "Cybertron's better anyway".

In the same episode, Cyclonus throws a dude through a computer monitor. The dude shouts, "Hey! I'm stuck in here!" to which Cyclonus pithily replies, "Everybody's gotta be somewhere."

Transformers is my drug of choice.

Psssh. The first two seasons were the best. Case in point:

https://m.

You know, I should re-watch the G1 Transformers series. I finished Prime and liked it. And some interpretations of the old bots(Arcee and Soundwave to name some) I should go for it.

Wasn't there more to it than that? If I recall correctly, Megatron initially stumbled upon that pacifist planet and found some power source he could exploit, so naturally he invaded and seized control of it. The explosion was after the rebellion and the evacuation, because the Autobots had no choice but to destroy Megatron's power source (and thus the planet), preventing every other planet from becoming vulnerable in turn.

I could be wrong, of course. The details you provided do seem familiar, though.

It was Galvatron, but yeah. :B

By the way, Tumbleweed; I regret to inform you I haven't received a PM yet, and I'm keen to get started ASAP. How soon should I expect it to arrive, please?

Fret not! Only half of the assignments have gone out so far-- the other half are still pending, should be rolling in a few days.
