Introducing..... Brown Sugar!

Today, it's time to get a new fic project rolling. As you (hopefully) still remember, I announced last year to write a fic for Brown Sugar, a background filly who had her debut in "For Whom the Sweetie Belle Toils" and then a few more appearances in "Inspiration Manifestation", "Slice of Life" and "Party Pooped".
It took a while, because of the issues I encountered last year, but today, I have finally begun writing this story! And since I am finally writing it now, I will introduce the characters in it a bit, so that you have an idea what to expect from it!
And we start this series with.....

Brown Sugar

Our #1 main character, Brown Sugar is a normal and average little filly. At least, at first glance. Ponies closer to Brown Sugar know that she is constantly troubled by her homelife and always struggling to get attention from her mother, an almost fruitless endeavor that weighs hard on her young mind.
Brown Sugar is part of a rather big circle of foals with very contrasting personalities. With some of them she gets along great, there are some she doesn't know well enough to care and again others make her life harder in their own ways.
Brown Sugar is friends with two other fillies, Titania and Plumberry. She is connected with one of them through a very simple, yet honest, friendship and values the other one for a very special reason that makes their friendship completely unique.....

I can see that. If I may ask, do you think that well known background foals, like Tootsie, Noi, Petunia and so, should also have their own tag? I mean, Dinky and Ruby have theirs, so why not the others too?

They should, absolutely! I had a short conversation with a mod here about this subject once and judging by it, the site staff doesn't seem too keen on the idea.
But it absolutely should. Letting aside the disaster of the removed pony banners and of the character tag icons for a lot of background ponies that were finally put on the site due to popular demand only to get removed again shortly after (both of which should be brought back), a support via character tag icons for the underappreciated background ponies would have a positive effect on them and bring them more attention.

Agreed. Would also make it easer to find stories with said characters. Overall, I think foals like Petunia and Noi could need more stories faturing them.
