Since I've received some pretty positive responses from my Duel of the Fates spinoffs, I thought I'd head into the next part. The story will be mostly moving away from the Mane 7 characters and focus on Tempest and Rose. I also want to set it in a new locale to make it a much larger scale of conflict and set up a whole other cast of characters. I'm debating who I want to put in as FIM has so many unique characters and I love using lesser used ones. With Tempest as a lead I want to use Grubber in a minor role and I have ideas for Garble to be a cheap comic mix of Han Solo and C-3PO at odds with Spike who is the R2 of this series. I'd love to bounce some ideas off you guys if anyone is interested.

Well I had an idea about making two factions. One side would be led by Sunny Flare who would act as a sort of an Imperial Officer who worked with Sunset Shimmer for a short time and has taken over the planet that Tempest and Rose find themselves on and is in conflict with a rebel faction on the planet. She comes across as evil through her actions early on but you'll come to understand more later on. Sky Stinger and Vapor Trail, sticking to their show roots are pilots in her military that ferry VIP's.
On the other side we have Indigo Zap, the leader of a faction of rebels and Lemon Zest serves as her right hand. Timber Spruce would be a sort of bio chemist who works for a mystery benefactor who supplies the rebels with weapons and is working on a special project to end the conflict.
That's what I've come up with so far. I have a few OC characters to fill in spots that I think will be minor so they may not have a big impact with the exception of one on the rebel side.

Those all sound like great ideas to me. I especially like the casting for the various Shadowbolts. I say go for it!
Which "Rose" are you talking about? There are several characters with that in their name. I can only assume you mean Roseluck, but I wanted to make sure.

Yeah, it's Roseluck. I tend to forget that that's a pretty common name in this show.

Thanks. I wanted to use Wallflower as a Jedi, but the role I had in mind called for her to die not long after her introduction. So some poor sap will have to take that part.
