This is very true. It’s better to be collected than rushed
*error?

She's an old author. She wrote the Rescuers series, and that was adapted by Disney into The Rescuers and The Rescuers Down Under.

Thankfully, I think she meant she should give your writing your best effort. Otherwise I'd be sunk.
It just made me stop and think for a moment, and it seemed like a good thing to share.

Wow! I had no idea! That's awesome!
Giving it you're best never meant to wait till you were at your absolute best possible speed or hell, even getting up to the best point.
Start. Take the chance. drive yourself even if its little bursts. You will never know what your capable of until you try.
I mean, Hell, look at me for a good example: I would have never in a million years thought that I would be one of the guys responsible for a new TV cartoon series from an old favourite from back in the early 90's.
Also, its okay to be afraid. we all are. Fear is good, it keeps you focused and cautious. Terror is your enemy. it makes you jumpy and panic. And trial and error is how you learn to learn between the two.
That feeling of accomplishment is dangerously addictive.
