The Shadowbolts Will Return (Eventually)

Remember A Few Days Prior and Lunch Break?

Shortly after I released the latter, but before I hit the big ol' Pony burnout that has plagued me until recently, I came up with ideas for several other stories focused on 'my' versions of the Shadowbolts, and even went so far as to make story pages for them and everything.

Policy Of Truth (Multi-Chapter, Sugarcoat focus)
The Best (Oneshot, Indigo Zap focus)
I, Shadowbolt (Mutli-Chapter, (albeit short chapters) Group/Sunny Flare focus)
Duality (Twoshot, Sour-Sweet focus)

The good news is that I, Shadowbolt I still have the outline for, so despite its chronological placement it is the most likely to come out first. The bad news is that Policy Of Truth's outline was lost to computer issues many many months back, so I'm going to have to reverse-engineer that from the rather more cryptic notes I left in the unpublished chapter pages. On top of that, to a certain extent the other three would have spoilers for this one's conclusion, so I'm hesitant to really do anything with them until that one's out. So... we'll have to see.

I'm always happy to hear more Shadowbolt stories are on the horizon. Here's hoping the reverse engineering goes smoothly.

Indeed. Given that I feel my writing craft (albeit not my speed ) has improved vastly in the interim, I suspect the original outline may not have been that strong to begin with, so being forced to rebuild from the ground up like this may actually be more beneficial in the long run. In a similar vein, I've been meaning to reexamine some of my already-published works and my plans for them.
