Attention writers, we are halfway through The Next Generation writing contest!
With just over two weeks to the submission deadline, things are looking good. We have nine different authors who are working with our awesome mentors to get help or pre-reading for their stories, and a bunch of other cool people and/or horses who are polishing their entries.
I've been really impressed with the turnout so far. I was worried the "original fiction" requirement would scare people away, but it looks like there's a lot of writers willing to take a swing! Keep on being awesome. 
If you think you might like to enter a writing contest -- or if you think you might like to win some of that $350 prize pool -- now is the time to start typing. You can find all the rules on the original blog post, including how you submit stories, how judging works, and how to find the #mentors channel so you can get their excellent assistance.
