    50 Questions

Last year, around October, Ice Star posted this fun questionnaire and I ask whether I could do it too. The answer was yes but the thing is, I was busy and completely forgot about doing it. Now, as I'm sick in bed, I have time and I can answer (I don't know if that's clear). So, stick with me (if you want to) and let's go!

    It wasn't plan like that

But I happen to be writing a mini thesis about the Brony fandom for one of my College classes about subcultures. Life is amazing!

Why I certainly will be obliged to cancel The Last Flower (and it's breaking my heart)

I know, I know, the story's been on hiatus for at least a year now. But still, I really wanted to keep on writing it and bringing you the rest of the story, once College will leave me enough time to write something on a regular basis. I have really enjoyed creating this post-apocalyptic AU which contained a lot of theme which were dear to me and which, unfortunately, hasn't even been tackled

    Dashie's playlist N°1

Yeah, I know this isn't a story but... I wanted to share with you the playlist of songs I've made which for me fits with Rainbow Dash as I made her in The Truth About Girls. Also, I used to play many of those songs when I was writing this fiction and A Story of Love (Among Others). Hope you'll enjoy, and don't forget to tell me what's your opinion. Thank you

Things to know for a better understanding of The Last Flower · 12:19pm Feb 22nd, 2018

Like Only One Speck of Dust, the universe and background story of The Last Flower could seem a bit complicated to understand.

So first, a bit of timeline:
• Both Rarity and Soarin are both 25. The rest of the team is 23.
• Between the beginning of the Uncivilized War and Soarin's awakening, there's a gap of seven years, which makes four years of coma and three years of war. He was 18 when the war began and Rainbow Dash was 16, which mean they met when they were respectively 17 and 15.

CASTES:

Here are the different Caste you can find in the world of The Last Flower:

• Military:
They defend the people from potential attacks from the outside (although this scenario could seem rather unlikely) but especially from the inside. Before the war, their role was a bit the same than policeman's (there are no policemen in Equestria). Now each of the Ghettoes dictate their own laws and most of the Militaries have became something else since the Community Power (which ruled the Military Caste) no longer exists. They're the only ones with knowledge in specialties of other Castes.
• Producers:
They are the farmers. This Caste is very powerful. Only them know how to cultivate the fields. Note: many of the cultivable grounds are highly polluted. It's the Producer who's in charge of making sure the food is proper for consumption.
• Crafters:
They are in charge of creating clothes as well as the tools necessary for life: tables, chairs, cutleries, furniture, everything except houses and buildings.
• Envoys:
They're messengers. Before the war and the Ghettoes built fortifications, they could go from Ghetto to Ghetto, although most of them transported the letters only inside their own Ghetto. They are usually good at finding the best itinerary to go from one point to another.
• Masters of Elements:
It's the rarest of all Castes. They're three times less than Envoys or Crafters. Only know them about the lost technology of the postmodern era. They understand physics, chemestry, biology, everything scientific. They were very important for the technological advancement of a Ghetto. That's why so many were abducted by Chrysalis.
• Diggers:
They're those who bury the deads, following a very precise ritual linked with nature and the forces of nature.
• Healers:
Like Masters of Elements, they also know about biology and chemistry but in a very different way. They use their knowledge for the preparations of cures and medicines, mostly by using plants. They're like doctors, and the only ones with the ability of delivering, and of doing surgical operations.
• Helpers:
One of the lowest rank among the Castes. They cook, clean, run errands for you. Since the elimination of the Elite, most of them are actually without a job, since most of the population can't afford helpers. This Caste is slowly disappearing.
• Builders:
They're a bit like Crafters, except they are only in charge of building houses. They also are the Caste who built the Ghettoe's fortifications.
• Amazons:
Some kind of veterinarians, except they only take care of horses. They train them, tame them, heal them and feed them.
• Transients:
Also called the "no Caste". They have their own way of life, and travel from Ghetto to Ghetto, settling for a while before traveling again. After the war, most of them turned into thieves, stealing and killing those who dare leaving their Ghettoes to go to the Ivory (Equestria's Black Market) or to the Coal Mines of the West Wastelands.
• Courtesans:
Before the war, women and men were courtesans. Since a lot of the male population has died because of the Y virus, it's mostly a men's job. Many Military have changed Caste and turned into Courtesans. They're simply prostitutes, operating in hotels and opium saloons.
• Entertainers:
They know about theater, music, dance, singing... Now they can only be found in the biggest and wealthiest Ghettoes.
• Traders:
Those who are selling items to the people. They're connected with the Crafters.

A few precisions about the Castes:
• During the war, civilians could enroll to help the Military, but that doesn't make them belong to the Military Caste, even if they were called Military + the name of the Caste.
• Since the war is over, in reality, nothing obliges the population to keep this Caste system. Only they're so used to it that most of them prefer it. Many think it's the only way to keep a semblance of society in Equestria.
• A woman or a man can marry whoever they want from whatever Caste they want. Only the spouse or the groom has to choose to leave its Caste and adopt another (for example, if a Military marries an Envoy, either the Envoy chooses to become Military, either the Military chooses to become an Envoy). If someone from your family is of another Caste than you, you can choose to be part of this Caste instead. Otherwise, it's passed from generation to generation.

ABOUT MONEY
Each of the Ghettoes have the same money, coins simply called "bits". Only, each Ghettoes choose the value of said money. So what's cheap in a Ghetto can be very expensive in another one. A lot of people also practice trade (exchange of a product against another product of the same value).

RELIGION
There are no religions as we know them. Most of the population simply believes in Mother Nature. They particularly worship the Moon and the Sun. For some, the many sand storms are seen as a manifestation of Mother Nature's wrath against the human kind.

If you have any other questions, or something still isn't clear, don't hesitate to tell me!
