    April, with many a day…

So I just spent from the third through today (sort of, still have some driving to do) on holiday. Went to Dallas to see the Eclipse in totality, swung though Hot Springs for… well, the hot springs, and finally St Louis for a lovely riverboat dinner before bidding the Boyfriend farewell and starting the trip home.

    Well, I started it...

All Good Things... has commenced. I may have a chapter of it up tonight.

I really want to start closing out the unfinished stories, but sometimes you just can't get back into the flow for them. Sorceress and the Siren is one, Into the Wilds is another. Which is sad cause I love writing Azure.

    Homecoming, in retrospect.

Homecoming as a series is a glorious mess. I’ve gone on short bits of fluff, created some … unique ships, twisted the fabric of canon EqG, and even touched on some dark topics.

    Don't you just hate it...

When you can't find something when you need to?

Case in point, I went looking for a comment where they alluded to It being like Frodo saving the Shire for everyone but himself and had to sail to another land to find solace.

But I can't remember what fic or anything else.

    And it's frustrating to me.

    Meanwhile, in other news...

    For those wondering....

    I am working on Truth.

“What are you doing here?” Sunset stammered as she gazed at her father. Emotions swirled inside of her, a maelstrom of feelings. Confusion, certainly. Some anger, long-simmered and cooled into bitterness. A bit of joy, but just a tiny bit.

    Mostly confusion though.

Red rubbed the back of his neck. “It’s a long story,” he hedged.

So I’m making good headway on my writing goals. Last night is was at 11k plus for the month. I’ve got two more chapters probably for The Day of Love, one I’m really excited to explore (Adagio and Sandalwood) and one that I’ve kinda shied from a little (no pun intended) with my E616 SunShyne.

Then, once it’s done, I’m going to finish off Rip Van Glimmer pretty soon. We’re obviously in the endgame and there is only so many ways this can end. Two, maybe three chapters there. And I truly hope you’ve enjoyed that ride.

And by then, it’ll probably be my turn in the ongoing SunLight Sliders II project, which means I’ll have to write like crazy to give a good show in the midst of what would likely be late Act II or early Act III of the story. If you haven’t read the original SLS, please do. It was pretty good and full of such Titans as Dubs Rewatcher, Oroboro, Novel-Idea, and the artist of SciSet Diary, Adgerelli. We’ve got a lot of returning members and new peeps like myself. It’s gonna be so awesome when we’re done.

And finally there is Entropy and the strange way it’s going. I really intend for this to be a closing tonthe conflict filled part of the girls’ lives as they transition into adulthood and parenthood in some cases. Arc III of Homecoming is likely going to be that passing of the torch type of thing. I’ve already written some things in that era, such as Crystal and Comparing Notes with my good friend BlackWater, but there are gaps to fill in and bits of fluff yet to be shared.

I’ll likely do some retrospectives on each arc later this year just to kind of see where I’ve grown and where I still need to work on. Might even invite a guest commenter or or two fornthis DVD-extra type of thing.

What do you all think?
