Random Idea #83: Sword vs Gun fights (in visual media)

I had some shower thoughts after watching some various fight shows, specifically about choreography. So, I assume we’re all broadly familiar with sword fights.

Note that “gun” and “sword” here are simply shorthand for any ranged, projectile weapon and any melee weapon, punches and kicks included.

Idea #82: A random review of Cyberformula: Road to the Infinity 1 to 4

The audience for this game outside of Japan is probably in the low hundreds, but after binging the games for the past two weeks, I needed some way to organize my thoughts.

First of all, what is Cyberformula?

    Sonic Franchise
Seriously, how the hell did I forget about the franchise memetically associated with hundreds of fan OCs?
    1) Setting: Mobius and other various locales seem to imply a fairly Earth like world [1]
    2) Inhabitants: waves hand in the vague direction of sonic OCs [1]

Random Idea #81: Complaining about Scale in third person POV games

In most games at human-scale, and even car scale to a certain extent, the 3rd POV doesn’t greatly change how large things appear to be. Your avatar is still going to look small when standing next to a large truck. The game “It Takes Two” is a great example of this, since the characters are shrunk to the size of dolls and tossed into the insides of machines and snowglobes. A gear the size of a

Random Idea #56: Digital Ghost (Star Wars AU) · 6:52am Feb 13th, 2018

Ideas:
Amidala not first owner of R2.
Several owners ago, one version of R2 managed to hide data inside it's hardwired code. A private online folder, with a username and password, overriding his old bootup screen.

A serial number, date of creation, short scribbled notes sent out only when he was 110% sure there were no one eavesdropping. Gossip, news, secrets, quiet running techniques, vague descriptions of previous owners. It was all he had.

Families and friends and singles walked by, the bright warehouse lights hiding his forced activation.

Maybe it was luck, maybe it was the nebulous energy that was the force he would learn later in his life. Probably not the force, considering it never bothered with inorganic life. Maybe that was for the better.

Whatever the case, he played a short, quiet, looping tune, his external lights barely changing as he went into quiet mode.

Girl of what seemed to be a rich family caught his tune and zeroed in on him. He twitched his dome in her direction, who appeared to find him cute.

And that was how he ended up the private confident, then guard, then spy, of the young Amidala.

Surprise Darth Jar Jar story, cuz the only one I found had terrible writing. Droids are not affected by mental Force abilities, and R2 figures out that Jar Jar is up to something fishy. JJ realizes that someone has caught on, and it takes a while to figure out R2 has been eyeing him from hip height.

R2 convinces Amidala to buy him equipment, for upgrades. After Naboo, buys a B1 Droid for the hands and as support. R2 trial errors a pseudo lightsaber and gets proficient. I wrote a shitty one shot about their duel of the fates.
