After getting my laptop fixed, I'm online again.
I'm releasing a new book on Amazon on friday; Pasts & Futures will be a collection of 49 science fiction stories, many of them super-short.
But... in the past, my first-day sales have always seemed to depend on my author rank. And after 2½ months unable to release anything, my author rank is in the tank.
So, to nudge it up a bit, I have a free book on Kindle this week. Actually, two. Into Dreams (a collection of 42 fantasy short stories) will be free until Thursday, and After Hope will be free from Thursday until next Monday.
Please, if you've enjoyed my writings at all, or if you want me to be able to have a house and stuff for another year, check out the books. And if you can afford 1.99 for one of my other books, or you have the time to read and review one of them, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks everyone.
(PS: Next story actually posted on this site will be Two Bits. If anyone can guess what it's about before I post it, I'll send you a copy of one of my books in paperback. Maybe one for the most interesting guess too)
Are you going to continue Friendship is joker?

I certainly intend to. I've written up to chapter 43 now, but I keep putting it off because I'm scared to release anything without having an editor check it over first. I need to get over that. Or find a new editor, if there's anyone out there with a good eye for continuity.
It's also hard to find time lately. There's a very real chance I could lose my home if I don't sell more books; and advertising isn't really effective unless you have a few reviews already. So my only option is to keep on producing books I can sell, as quickly as possible, and that takes a lot of effort. Until I get a few more fans, I can only afford a couple of hours here and there to work on "for fun" writing.
Thanks for responding :) It's great to know that someone's still looking at it.
